Chapter 104
Having her period and a fever at the same time was a double blow. Not only did Natalie’s stomach ache, but her whole body felt sore, as if she’d been beaten.
“Take your medicine first p>
Alexander gently lifted her into a sitting position, cradling her against his chest. She forced open her heavy, feverish eyelids and saw the pills in his palm.
She tried to lift her hand to take them, but he had already brought them to her lips. “Open your mouth p>
Her body was sore and weak, so she obediently opened her mouth and let him place the pills inside. A moment later, a glass of water was pressed to her lips.
“Go to sleep. I’ll be right here,” he murmured, his deep voice close to her ear, as he gently laid her back down.
The medicine had a sedative effect, and she soon drifted off.
Once Natalie was asleep, Alexander went into the bathroom and returned a minute later with a damp towel. The family doctor had told him that the medicine wouldn’t work immediately and that he could use a cool compress to help bring the fever down.
Following the doctor’s instructions, Alexander carefully wiped her down, trying his best not to wake her.
By the time he was finished, he was sweating himself.
He gazed at her sleeping face, which had finally relaxed. “Is he as good to you as I am?” he whispered.
Natalie was lost in a series of chaotic dreams.
Finally, she found herself at a fairytale wedding. She was wearing a beautiful white gown, and the venue was filled with guests, all congratulating her.
Everyone’s attention turned to the floral arch, where Camila White, wearing the ‘Starry Sky’ necklace, walked down a petal-strewn lawn on Alexander’s arm.
His eyes were filled with deep affection, and Camila’s face glowed with happiness.
Natalie ran up to them and demanded to know why he had changed, why he was marrying another woman.

A bitter, piercing pain filled her chest. Overwhelmed with grief and anger, she collapsed to the ground, sobbing helplessly until her cries became audible.

A hand was wiping the tears from her eyes.
Natalie’s eyes fluttered open to see Alexander standing over her, his brow furrowed with concern.
“Get away from me!” she cried, pushing at his chest. “Go find your first love! I don’t want you anymore p>
Caught off guard, Alexander stumbled back a step. Seeing her red, tear-streaked eyes, he knew she’d had a nightmare, one that involved him.

“The one you’ve always loved was never me, so why should I want you p>
“Who told you I never loved you p>
“You gave the ‘Starry Sky’ to Camila White, and you gave her your supplementary card, too! She’s the
most important person to your Alexander Ramirez, get out! Pdont want to see you p>
Natalie poured out all the grief and sorrow from her dream, still unable to distinguish it from reality.
Alexander had been about to tease her, but his expression changed instantly when he heard her last words.

intended to give it to her three years ago, but after learning about her and Eugene he had he had completely forgotten about it.
He had never given it to anyone else.

Natalie hugged her knees, burying her face in her arms, her soft sobs filling the room.

He had thought she didn’t care whether he gave the necklace away or not, but it seemed the dream had brought her true feelings to the surface. He was both surprised and pleased.

In case she didn’t believe him, Alexander emptied his entire wallet, finally placing
the empty wallet in front of her as well.
