The next morning, Alexander returned to the villa.
Charlotte Roberts wasn’t there. “Where’s Grandma?” he asked Susan.
“Charlotte went back to the Ramirez Estate,” Susan replied. “She said she’s done getting involved in your and Natalie’s affairs p>

Susan recounted how Natalie had come to pack her things the previous afternoon, relaying Charlotte’s words verbatim.
Alexander remained silent.
Susan, who saw Natalie as family, couldn’t help but add with a hint of reproach, “Natalie had finally agreed to come back. Why did you have to drive her away again?” She sighed and went into the kitchen to prepare breakfast.
Alexander went up to the master bedroom. The space in the closet where Natalie’s suitcase had been was now empty. All her clothes were gone. The only thing left was the luxury handbag he had bought her, sitting alone on a shelf.
If not for that bag, he might have believed she had never returned at all.
Alexander stood there for a long time until his phone rang. It was Aaron Lee.

When Natalie woke up, Arianna was asleep on the sofa. She tidied everything up and marked her phone calendar: six days until her appointment with Alexander at the Marriage Registration Office.
Then she grabbed her bag and left for the day.
Since Ramirez Logistics was a subsidiary of the Ramirez Group, she thought it best
to handle the matter personally. Considering the legal implications, she had contacted Eugene Ramirez the day before, and they had arranged to go to the logistics company together this morning.

integrity. We have video and photographic evidence of your handling process, yet you deny it. I wonder how Mr. Ramirez would handle this if he found out?” Natalie said sternly, pointing to the evidence on her phone.
“This happened yesterday, and you’re only now showing us a video? Who knows if it’s been tampered with,” the manager said, acting high and mighty.
“One of our staff called you yesterday and asked you to send someone over. No one came,” Natalie countered.

At this point, Eugene spoke up. “Fine. As I understand it, all Ramirez Logistics vehicles are equipped with surveillance cameras that upload footage to an internal server in real time. I can accompany you review it personally p>
The manager was stunned. This
was an internal procedure. How
could an outside lawyer know about it? Any chance of secretly editing the
footage was now gone. If his
superiors found out the fault day with them, an investigation would surely reveal that the person responsible for the shipment was his own
brother. He couldn’t let that happen.
“That’s confidential company information! Outsiders are not allowed!” the manager snapped, calling for security. “Keep an eye on these two. Don’t let them wander off p>
