Inside an enormous, elegant manor, sunlight poured through the tall windows, painting golden patterns across the marble floors. Newell lounged on a wooden chair in the garden, dressed in a soft gray tracksuit, looking effortlessly relaxed. His long, pale fingers curled lightly against his forehead as he let himself bask in the afternoon warmth.
A respectful voice broke the quiet. “Newell, we’ve got Anthony’s real identity.”
Newell didn’t even open his eyes at first. His lips curved in a lazy, almost amused smile. “Alright, let’s hear it.”
Honestly, Newell was curious. Other than Anthony’s good looks and some money, he couldn’t figure out what else the guy had that made Charlotte lose her mind over him.
The man hesitated, swallowing his shock before he replied, “Anthony is the head of X Organization.”
That got Newell’s attention. His eyes snapped open and he turned, staring at his subordinate in disbelief. “What did you just say?”
“The X Organization. The one that almost destroyed N Organization in that battle two years ago,” the man clarified. “N Organization was the one who leaked this.”
He continued, “When Anthony came to Solenia, N Organization found out and the two sides clashed. Charlotte showed up just in time and walked Anthony right into the West District, like she didn’t care who was watching.”
It was a pretty clear message about where she stood.
“You’re saying Anthony is God?” Newell sat up, his face growing dark as the realization sank in.
“Yes,” the man nodded.
Even he couldn’t wrap his head around it. Charlotte was always so cold and distant. The idea that she could fall for anyone was shocking—let alone someone on the opposite side.
Newell fell silent, lost in thought. Was Charlotte really serious about Anthony?
The silence stretched until the man spoke again, careful and quiet. “Newell, do you think this is why Charlotte refuses to leave Cabinda or come back to DM?”

“Yes,” the other man said.
“What do you think would actually make her happy?” Newell gazed out at the distant hills, a quiet laugh in his eyes.

“Forget it.” Newell’s lips twitched as he pulled out his phone. He transferred another billion to Charlotte’s lab. Ten billion in tota now, but to him, that was nothing f it helped her remember him, maybe it was worth it.
