Chapter 776
Bright red blood spilled out, splattering onto the spotless white floor. The sight was so sharp and shocking, it almost didn’t seem real.
“Stella…”
Shirley rushed in, nearly screaming when she saw what was happening.
What on earth was going on?
Letty was bleeding, a knife wound gaping open. And the knife was in Stella’s hand.
Had Stella really stabbed her?
Stella’s fingers shook when she saw Charlotte appear. The knife slipped from her grasp and hit the floor with a loud, clear clatter.
“Charlotte, she stabbed herself,” Stella said, forcing herself to stay calm. She met Charlotte’s eyes, guilt flickering across her face. “It wasn’t me.”
“I know you didn’t do it.”
Charlotte pressed her lips together, her gaze moving to Letty. Their eyes met- Letty’s face twisted in pain, but there was something smug in her expression.
Letty was hurt. The knife had been in Stella’s hand. With a witness and the weapon,
it looked like Stella was guilty of attempted murder.
If Charlotte wanted to keep Stella out of prison, she’d have to agree to every demand Letty made.
Letty was sure she had everything under control. But then Charlotte leaned in, giving Letty’s wound a quick, almost curious glance. She smiled coldly.
“Trying to set someone up, right in front of me?”
Letty froze. Her mind raced.
“If you want to die that badly, I’ll help you along,” Charlotte said, her voice sharp as ice.
Letty’s confusion deepened, and unease churned in her stomach. What was Charlotte planning? Was she really going to try and turn the tables in Stella’s favor? There were no security cameras in the restroom. Stella’s fingerprints were all over the knife. Someone had seen her holding it. Letty just couldn’t believe Charlotte had any way to flip this around.

Social media lit up overnight. People demanded answers from the police, wanting to know the truth.
If Stella was found guilty, she’d spend most of her life behind bars.
