Hazel practically dragged me to the restroom hallway, out of earshot from the rest of the café.

I sighed, glancing back toward our table, where Alexander was scrolling through his phone, looking irritatingly composed. “I need to get back. We’ll talk later, okay p>
“Promise?” She raised an eyebrow.

“You better not cancel on me.” She jabbed a finger at me. “I want all the dirty details. Like, every single inch of dirty detail p>

The abrupt shift to business threw me off–balance, which I suspected was exactly his intention. “I’ll prepare everything for the meeting p>
“Good.” He nodded, taking another bite of his omelet. “And Madison p>
“Yes, Mr. Knight p>
“I expect you at my penthouse tonight. Seven sharp.” His voice was casual, but his eyes held a dangerous promise. “We need to discuss your punishment for putting your panties back on in the car earlier p>
I swallowed hard. “Yes, Mr. Knight p>
“Don’t wear any underwear tonight. You won’t be needing it p>
I nodded, unable to form words as heat spread through my body. How did he always do this to me? One minute, I was furious with him; the next, I was imagining all the ways he might punish me tonight.
