Orion watched the video of the girl pulling off a twelve-hit combo, his gaze softening significantly.
Years had gone by, and she was the only one who had managed it.
Together in the game, they teamed up with a chemistry that made clearing instance dungeons seem effortless.
Orion paused and asked, “Ever played as a Warrior p>
“No, I’ve mostly been a Gunner p>
“You could switch classes, give Warrior a try. Might suit you better p>
Lemira’s pupils shrank as she heard it. In her past life, someone had told her the same thing, urging her to play as a Warrior.
But back then, all she wanted was to be a Gunner; after all, Alaric’s team needed one.
A wave of excitement washed over Lemira. Could Orion possibly be the person she met in her past life?
She had never gotten the chance to meet him in person, to thank him, and it remained one of her regrets.
Orion asked, “Why are you looking at me like that p>

“No, why do you ask? Do you p>
Orion narrowed his eyes slightly, wary of her falling into young love.
Looking at the computer screen, Lemira said, “Kind of.” The online love from her past life that had never come to fruition. If only she could meet him in this life.
She remembered the time and place she had met him in her past life; perhaps it’s destined to happen then.
Orion’s voice was a bit muffled, “Kid, your priority should be studying, not dating p>
“I know, I guess I’ll think about it after exams p>
She had met him after exams in her past life.
Orion felt agitated, the hassle of young love. He shut off the computer, “After dinner, you need to hit the books, cut down on gaming time.” More homework might keep her from getting distracted. After tackling two sets of exam papers, Lemira was mentally exhausted.
Preparing for a shower and then bed, she suddenly realized she had brought no change of clothes or toiletries. Torn, she decided to go out and buy some essentials.
Just as she was leaving, Orion opened the door, looking down at her, “Where are you going this late p>
Lemira felt like she was caught red-handed by a parent.
“I need to buy some toiletries and pajamas,” she immediately replied.
Orion’s expression froze for a moment before he closed the door, “Let’s go.” He had no experience caring for kids and hadn’t thought this through.
Most shops were closed by then.
Lemira ended up only buying toiletries; pajamas and slippers were nowhere to be found.
Orion, expressionless, was not in the best of moods. Back at the apartment, he immediately called Thaddeus, “What’s with the apartment you arranged? Why are there no essentials?” “Man, you gave me half an hour to sort that place out. Didn’t have time for essentials. And going out to buy those could’ve been a bonding moment for you two p>
Orion was used to being taken care of. He rarely bothered with these kinds of details.
Thaddeus sounded skeptical, “Don’t tell me you forgot and ended up going out in the middle of the night p>
Orion gritted his teeth, “You can shut up now p>
He hung up directly, feeling a bit embarrassed as he glanced at the wardrobe. Orion grabbed a pair of his own slippers and a clean men’s shirt, and then knocked on the neighboring door. After a while, a soft voice from inside said, “Coming p>
Lemira opened the door, her hair still damp, dripping water down her clothes.
Orion’s gaze inadvertently wandered before he walked in. Lemira instinctively stepped back, tripping over her own feet and tumbling toward the ground.
Embarrassment flooded her mind. But she fell into a warm chest, the sound of his heartbeat in her ears.
