Yet, deep down, he couldn’t help but reminisce about the nutritious dish Lemira used to make.
He had always taken for granted the care and affection from Lemira. Unfortunately, he had become so accustomed to it that he overlooked Lemira’s efforts!
He had been filled with regret lately, realizing he had done many things that hurt Lemira.

“Streaming to make money?” Lucian felt a pang of discomfort.
Lemira should have been living comfortably, without the need to work part-time, let alone stream for cash.
The streaming world was, after all, a mixed bag.

Evelina was taken aback by Lucian’s stance. She had expected Lucian to side with Alaric, condemning Lemira for joining a rival platform and seemingly opposing their family! She even thought Lucian would confront Lemira, pressuring her to quit streaming.
That was the outcome she had hoped for. But Lucian didn’t react as she had anticipated.

Seeing Lucian’s expression, Evelina didn’t press further, not wanting to upset him.
She was internally panicking. Lucian had truly changed. All her efforts had barely secured her a place in Lucian’s heart. Yet, Lemira did nothing and still received his forgiveness.
