The hospital room fell into an awkward silence.
Lucian, with a stern look on his face, confronted Evelina, “Now that we’re alone, why did you cheat? It’s such a disappointment p>
Even though Evelina denied it, the truth was clear to everyone.
Alaric felt let down too. Today, he suddenly realized Evelina seemed different from the person he thought he knew.
Cheating, lying, and blaming others. If it weren’t for the crystal clear footage from the surveillance cameras, he might never have believed Evelina capable of cheating!

Lemira grabbed Lucian’s glass of water and splashed it right on Evelina’s face. Asher raised his voice, “Eve’s already out cold, what are you trying to do?” Evelina remained with her eyes shut tight, refusing to wake up.
Lemira coldly declared, “Not waking up, huh? Fine, I’ll splash you with boiling water next p>
Frightened by the threat, Evelina immediately woke up, only to realize Lemira had no boiling water in hand.

If I knew it would come to this, I never would have done it.” As long as she insisted it was all to hand over answers for helping a friend, even if she faced consequences, she could clear her name.
