Lemira never in her wildest dreams imagined that the next time she saw Mrs.
Amanda, it would be under these circumstances.
She’d expected a scene out of a movie, with a wealthy socialite slapping a check on the table, warning her not to get any ideas about marrying into wealth.
She never, ever expected this.
But in the end, Lemira didn’t sign the papers. She left the box on the table.
