Ariel stared at Tom’s message displayed on the screen. She calmly took a sip of warm water and typed her response. “Alright.”

After she exited her chat window with Tom, Ariel opened the work group chat for their latest project with Nexura Solutions. She did not check the list of members or add Jayson’s number,

Instead, she tagged Jayson’s and Nancy’s names in the message she sent in the group chat.

“Mr. Larkin, what are your questions regarding our terms and requirements? Ms. Stanton is welcome to discuss with us if she’s found issues. We hope that the Nexura Solutions team won’t cause any delays to the work progress.

Ariel wanted to resolve the issue quickly and efficiently to avoid wasting too much time during the project’s

execution.

Unfortunately, those two never responded to her message, even after some time had passed. Ariel wasn’t the least bit surprised.

She checked the time. It had been 20 minutes since she sent that message in the group chat, and neither Jayson nor Nancy had sent a word during those 20 minutes.

Despite all that, Ariel remained calm and unruffled.

Janice saw how Ariel had asked Jayson and Nancy those questions straightforwardly in the group chat. She gave Ariel a voice call.

“The Nexura Solutions team must feel very entitled, having Bluum Corp as their backing. Instead of discussing it with us, Nancy reported her concerns to Jayson and even started questioning the client’s plans and proposals?” Janice grumbled in dissatisfaction

It made her wonder if people at Nexura Solutions had always been rude and unreasonable when doing their jobs.

Ariel checked the time again and asked, “Where’s Chad?”

Janice thought about it for a bit. “He’s attending the Commercial Drone Trade Exhibition. The event’s probably not over yet at this hour.”

Ariel had a pensive look on her face.

Tom probably noticed how there was no response from Jayson and Nancy. He sent a message.

“Ms. Walker, Mr. Larkin and Ms. Stanton probably didn’t see your message because they were too occupied with something else at the moment. They could have muted the notification from our group chat, or they might have had too many group chats on their WhatsApp that they hadn’t noticed your message.

‘Anyway, I suggest that you just add their WhatsApp numbers. You’ll be able to reach Mr. Larkin or Ms. Stanton right away without needing them to approve your friend request first.”

Ariel read his message. Then, she exited WhatsApp.

At the trade exhibition, Jayson and Nancy spotted Zach not long after they reached the venue.

Zach saw the two of them as well. He came over and greeted them. “Are Mr. Houston and the others not coming today?”

Nancy smiled softly. “Matt is away on a business trip. Perry will be here in a bit.” Zach fixed his gaze on Nancy and curled his lips. He turned his eyes to Jayson.

“I’ve heard that Nexura Solutions and Faye Tech are collaborating on a project this time. Did you know how the Faye Tech team had done it, Mr. Larkin? They managed to secure 500 million dollars in just a few days! Mr. Hockney happens to be here tonight. We should all sit down and have a chat later.”

Jayson smiled faintly and said nonchalantly, “I’m not sure, Faye Tech probably has its own methods that we don’t know of.”

Zach was honestly quite baffled since Faye Tech’s business had not grown into a scale big enough to be able to secure such a large amount of funding.

Nancy lowered her head and glanced at her phone. She slowly raised her brows.

Then, she lifted her gaze and looked at Jayson. “Someone from Faye Tech has asked us some questions in the group chat. Will you take a look at it, Jayson?”

Jayson looked down at the screen of Nancy’s phone. He saw the message Ariel had sent in the group chat and the message Tom had sent in an attempt to mediate between the different parties.

seyes betrayed nothing as he looked through the messages in the group chat. Meanwhile, Nancy had made few guesses inwardly.

Logically speaking, even if Faye Tech’s team had any questions regarding their progress, the person who should be asking the questions should be people like Chad, Janice, or one of Faye Tech’s engineers.

Yet, it was Ariel who had asked the question and even tagged Jayson in her message.

Nancy smirked. Her expression remained impassive. She had an inkling of what Ariel was trying to do.

“What’s wrong?” Zach asked since he could tell those two seemed to have encountered some sort of issue. Nancy put away her phone, looking completely unruffled. She didn’t reply to the messages in the group chat immediately. “Someone from Faye Tech is asking some questions regarding the project we’re collaborating on.” Zach pointed in a certain direction. “Mr. Hockney is right there, though? You can just talk to him in person. It’ll save you some time and make things a lot easier.”

Nancy chuckled and shook her head. “The issue isn’t that serious. It’s just that one of their assistants is trying to prompt Jayson for a quicker response.”

“An assistant?” Zach pondered.

The image of a certain lady, who often exuded a cold, distant demeanor, came to his mind.

“What kind of assistant could speak directly to Jayson? People on that level should be speaking to the Nexura Solutions‘ team or Nancy, right?” Zach thought.

He had a rough idea what this was about.

It could work as a way for Ariel to appeal to Jayson by ignoring Nancy and the other Nexura Solutions‘ staff members and speaking to Jayson directly instead.

Coincidentally, Chad had just finished chatting with another group of people and was heading their way.
