Bella was aware of Heather’s anger, yet she couldn’t resist her idol’s charm. She got out of the car and called for a cab.
“Please, sir, follow the black car in front of us,” Bella urged, pointing at Rory’s car in the distance.
“Which car?” The driver looked in the direction Bella was pointing.
“It’s the black car right in front of us. Please hurry!” Bella said nervously.
They were a little late, and the taxi driver soon lost sight of Rory’s vehicle.
Annabel found Rory waiting for her at the Blues Café.
He had booked the entire café so that no one would bother them.
Rory sat in a corner beside the window, gazing at the door with his deep eyes until the girl he was obsessed with appeared in his sight.
“Annabel.” Rory rose to his feet and approached her.
Annabel wore a white dress that was beautifully cut and showed off her perfect figure. Her delicate features revealed that she was capable, graceful, and gorgeous.
She was still the girl in his memory who made his heart race.
“Hello, Rory. I apologize for being late,” Annabel said as she approached, smiling.
“Don’t apologize. I’m the one who arrived early.” Rory looked at Annabel lovingly.
He pulled out the chair for her. “I ordered your favorite mocha p>
“Thank you,” Annabel replied as she sat down.
“I haven’t seen you in months. You are still stunning and charming,” Rory complimented her.
Even the simple action of her sipping coffee was appealing to him.
Annabel was a little embarrassed and quickly changed the subject.

“Why did you come back so suddenly? If I remember correctly, you signed a contract with a well-known film company p>
“I canceled the contract,” Rory shrugged.
“What? But why?” Annabel was astounded. “Isn’t it your dream to be the best movie star in the world? What made you give up so suddenly p>
“The dream is nothing in comparison to love.” Rory looked intently at Annabel. “I don’t think you love Rupert. You did that on purpose, right? You want me to give up, don’t you p>
“Rory, please stop being childish!” Annabel was irritated. “Whether I love Rupert or not has nothing to do with you. Don’t you know what would happen if you terminated your contract just like that p>
“I’ll bear the responsibility,” Rory said firmly. “Besides, I think our country is better for my career, so I intend to concentrate on the domestic market p>
“It’s not up to you to make that decision. Why are you so impulsive?” Annabel scowled.
“It wasn’t an impulsive decision. I have my reasons. I’ve made a detailed strategy. I’ll show you in a few days. You’ll undoubtedly agree with me by then,” Rory stated, a determined look in his eyes.
Annabel kept a straight face. Even if she agreed with Rory’s plans, he had still gone ahead without consulting her.
