Chapter 254
“If you’re scared, then get on your knees right now,” Dennis said, leaning back with his arms stretched along the top of the couch, a smug grin plastered on his face. “Lick my shoes clean, give me three solid bows, then call me ‘Daddy’ and say you’re sorry. Do all that, and maybe I’ll let you go.”
Andrew’s face darkened. He clenched his fists and looked like he was about to charge, but before he could take a second step, a group of huge guys immediately stepped in, blocking his way and forming a wall in front of Dennis.
Andrew frowned, took a step back, and leaned in close to whisper to Parrish and Charlotte, “Charlotte, when Parrish and I jump in, you take the chance to run and hide, got it?”
Parrish nodded. “I’ll handle the five on the left.”
Andrew glanced at the five on the right. They were absolute tanks, their arms thicker than his legs. He felt a cold sweat break out on his forehead. “You’re a real friend, you know that?”
Parrish just shrugged. “I’m still sore from fighting those other four. You’re not hurt, so suck it up a little.”
Andrew was speechless. Meanwhile, Charlotte kept her gaze down, quiet and unreadable.
Dennis, noticing their hushed conversation, let out a mocking laugh. “Don’t chicken out now.” He got up and strolled over, arms crossed, stopping right in front of Charlotte. He took one look at her gorgeous face and bit the inside of his cheek, his eyes flickering with interest. “Forget kneeling. Just spend the night with me instead.”
Honestly, even if Charlotte had a temper, her looks and body were on another level. He couldn’t help but wonder what she’d be like in bed.
“In your dreams.” Andrew yanked Charlotte behind him, rolling up his sleeves and glaring at Dennis. “You seriously think you’re good enough for Charlotte? Look at yourself. You’re a toad aiming for a swan.”
Dennis’s smile vanished instantly. He gritted his teeth, his voice ice-cold. “You really have a death wish. Get him. Teach Andrew a lesson.”
Two huge guys immediately stepped forward, each holding a pipe. Andrew and Parrish locked
eyes, steeling themselves net
clenched their fists, trying to
swallow their nerves, both putting on a brave face.
“Charlotte, get back!” they shouted together.
These thugs weren’t playing around. One hit from those pipes and Charlotte would be in real danger.
As soon as the words left their mouths, the two thugs swung their pipes. Parrish dodged one and shouted, “Andrew, look out!”

Charlotte away, but he was too slow. The pipe was coming straight for head. He could only watch it get closer bracing himself for the pain. If he got hit, he’d be lucky to walk away in one piece.
But then… one second passed, then another, then another. Nothing happened. No pain, no impact, just silence.
Andrew and Parrish both frowned and looked up, following the line of the thug’s arm. Their eyes went wide.
Charlotte was standing right in front
of them. One hand was in her pocket and the other had caught the pipe mid-swing. She tilted her chi up, her eyes sharp and icy, and for a second, she looked absolutely dangerous.
Charlotte? Andrew and Parrish stared at her, stunned. What the hell was she doing?
Dennis’s eyes went cold the second he saw her fight back. He was furious. Last
time she’d beaten him, it was a fluke. This time he had brought a whole crew. If he lost again, he’d be a joke.
“What are you waiting for? Beat her down!” he shouted.
The thugs tried to yank the pipe out of her grip, their faces turning red from the effort, but Charlotte didn’t even budge.
