Chapter 492
“Olivia, you Steven’s voice trailed off as he stared at her, his mouth just hanging open in shock.
He had asked her before, straight up.
And Olivia had been clear. She swore she had nothing to do with the leaked videos or photos.
“Dad, it wasn’t me.” Olivia’s hands shot up to cover her face, her words tumbling out in a rush. “I didn’t post that video. I had nothing to do with any of it.”
If her dad ever found out she’d leaked those files to Melissa, just to set off Charlotte and drive the company into the ground, he would never let her off the hook.
Steven frowned, his eyes locked on Olivia, searching her face for any hint of the truth.
“Dad, I mean it.” Olivia’s voice trembled, her knuckles white as she clenched her hands tight. She turned watery eyes on Charlotte and demanded, “You’re accusing me of posting it. Do you even have proof?”
“Proof?” Charlotte looked at her like she was ridiculous, a cold little laugh slipping out. Her eyes were sharp, almost icy. “You sent the video to someone else, let them post it for you, and now you want to pretend you’re innocent?”
Olivia’s face went pale. She never thought Charlotte would figure it out, never thought it would come back to her.
Did Charlotte even know who actually posted the video?
“Olivia… was it really you?” Steven’s voice was barely above a whisper now.
“I Olivia tried to say something, anything, but her voice collapsed. She shook all over, guilt written across her face.
Steven just stood there, frozen. He looked like the life had been drained right out of him.
So it really was her.
What a mess. She’d gone after Charlotte, and now everything was lost.
“You Steven glared at Olivia, his eyes full of disappointment and anger, but he couldn’t even get the words out.
“Dad Olivia’s eyes were red, tears clinging to her lashes. She looked absolutely miserable.
The whole time, Charlotte watched them, perfectly calm. There was something cold and amused in her smile as she watched father and daughter fall apart. “You’ll have plenty of time to cry about this later, she said softly.
“For now, get out of The Main Group.”
Her words barely landed before the bodyguards stepped forward and grabbed Steven and Olivia, moving them toward the exit.
“Charlotte, I saved your mother! If it weren’t for me, you wouldn’t even be here!” Steven yelled, his voice desperate and angry. “Now you think you’re all grown up, going against your own father? Aren’t you afraid your mother will crawl out of her grave to deal with you?”
“Hold on.”
Charlotte’s voice was cool and totally controlled. She walked over, every step full of purpose. Her eyes were like steel as she looked up at Steven a hint of a smile on her lips. “If you think saving my mom was enough to get you out of this, you’re wrong. It’s not going to end that easily for you.”
“And you know what else?” Charlotte lifted her chin, locking eyes with him. “If my mom saw what you’ve done to me, I bet the first thing she’d do after climbing out of her grave would be to come after you.”
Steven couldn’t say a word. He just stood there, totally silenced.
“Still acting like you’re in charge right now?” Charlotte said quietly, her gaze flicking
over to Olivia. “You really have no idea what you’re up against.”
If this punishment wasn’t enough, she’d just push it further.
“Charlotte
“Get them out of here.”
Before Steven could finish, Charlotte cut him off. The whole floor echoed with Steven and Olivia’s cries as they were pulled away, while the employees hiding in the corners just stared in shock, too stunned to speak.
