Chapter 18
Gavriel’s vulgar words turned Althea’s face crimson.
Would she ever get used to his filthy tongue? The way he always spoke so shamelessly, so boldly?
Before she could even muster a reply, his lips were already on hers.
The kiss stole her breath, like it always did. But this time, it wasn’t just forceful. It was deep. Passionate. Intense.
Usually, she would freeze or simply let him take control of her mouth. But now, as his tongue slipped past her lips, coaxing her to respond, something in her snapped.
She tried to resist. She truly did.
But her body betrayed her. Her mind said no, but her body… it was already melting.

Gavriel groaned, a low, guttural sound that echoed in the cave. Althea couldn’t tell if he was amused, annoyed, or angry. But it didn’t matter.
