When Caspian stood up for Lemira, Evelina’s earlier words seemed especially hollow.

“Yeah, why should our hard work be credited to someone else? That’s just shameless p>
Evelina, hearing the murmurs, felt her eyes well up, looking helplessly towards Asher on stage for support.
Asher, facing Caspian, said, “I definitely saw Evelina contributing to the script. You can’t just exclude her like that p>
“Asher, I get you want Evelina to shine, but the script is clearly Lemira’s work. Evelina has nothing to do with it. Trying to force it just makes no sense,” Caspian shot back, unapologetically exposing Asher’s intentions.
Asher, now in a tough spot and knowing Caspian had more credibility in the industry, had little to say in return.
Caspian approached Asher, “Listen, why don’t you get Evelina to focus on improving her skills? There’ll be other opportunities. But this script, this was all Lemira. Let’s celebrate that p>
Asher, although visibly upset, had no choice but to step down, scoffing as he passed by Lemira. Lemira, with a slight smirk, watched Asher go to Evelina’s side, seemingly to comfort her.
Unfortunately for Evelina, she wouldn’t be stealing the spotlight this time.
Caspian then addressed the crowd, “You all know I’ve had a couple of big hits recently, and there’s been some drama between me and my sister over an audition tape that went viral for all the wrong reasons. So, I brought her here today to clear up any misunderstandings p>
Lemira, watching Caspian, had mixed feelings about his announcement. She knew his motives extended beyond the immediate situation, aiming to regain control of the entertainment company and to clear up the audition tape misunderstanding.
Without objection, Lemira understood this was a temporary alliance with Caspian.
Because her main goal was to uncover why Evelina’s father was still alive and the truth behind the car accident years ago.
She intended to make Evelina unwelcome within the Langston family, forcing those behind Evelina to act, which could lead her to find Evelina’s father.
After Caspian’s speech, he cautiously glanced at Lemira, who didn’t rebut, much to his relief. Together, they stepped down, greeted by a crowd offering their congratulations.
Evelina, sour at seeing Lemira praised, complained to Asher, “Asher, Caspian bringing Lemira to the party must mean he disagrees with you handing the company over to me. He’s probably holding a grudge against you now p>
Asher, noticing the situation, sternly approached Caspian and Lemira, “You two, I need a word.” Caspian stood his ground, “Asher, let’s talk after the party. Shouldn’t you be happy for Lemira right now? You seem a bit off p>
Lemira was surprised at Caspian’s quick defense, cutting no slack in his retort.
Evelina, trying to diffuse OR
said, “Caspian, Asher means no harm. He’s been cleaning up
mess you two caused. How can you treat him like this p>
Lemira coldly replied, “And how exactly are we treating him?
Because Caspian announced I’m the sole writer of the script without adding your name p>
Evelina’s face twisted in response, still shamelessly claiming, “But I also put in the effort.” Asher, facing Lemira, declared, “Regardless of your stance, Evelina’s name is on the script.” This house wasn’t about to be ruled by Lemira.
