Evelina burst into tears, but no one stepped in to comfort her. Lucian, Caspian, and Alaric all buzzed around Lemira, treating Evelina as if she were invisible. Lemira sauntered upstairs, casting a triumphant glance back at Evelina in the hall. This was only the beginning.
Back in her room, Lemira felt a wave of mixed emotions. In a past life, she’d never even set foot in this place, let alone claimed this room. It had been Evelina’s domain, with no space for Lemira.

Lemira lounged on the sofa, watching Asher approach with fire in his eyes, undoubtedly thanks to Evelina’s instigation.
