Asher was at a loss for words. The only answer was the obvious one: amputation to save a life. But he couldn’t bring himself to say it out loud.

Lemira raised her voice, “I’m making it clear today. I will make sure the foundation holds Evelina accountable. Let’s see if she’s as invincible as she thinks p>
With that, Lemira stormed upstairs, leaving the room in an awkward silence.
Alaric sneered at Asher, “You’ve really let us down, Asher. I’m going to contact Lucian and make sure he clears up the truth about what happened back then. Lemira shouldn’t take the fall p>
