She approached slowly, her presence making the sidekick step back in apprehension.
Her voice was cool and detached, “Knowing full well that I am a Langston, you better watch your step. Otherwise, I’ll hand over all the evidence of you helping Evelina cheat to the school. Evelina might get off scot-free, but you? I wouldn’t be so sure.” Ever since the cheating scandal, Wendy had taken leave and hadn’t returned to school.
Lemira’s face was pale, her demeanor volatile and unapproachable. Judy, petrified, scampered away.
Only then did Lemira exit the restroom, to be met by Jessica, “Lemira, if Evelina decides to snitch to the teachers, I can vouch for you. It was them who started badmouthing you p>
At the sight of Jessica, Lemira’s expression softened slightly, “Thanks p>
She hadn’t wanted to deal with Evelina and her clique. But some people just need to be set straight!
Jessica adjusted her black-framed glasses, a hint of guilt in her expression, “I’m so sorry, we all misunderstood you because of Evelina’s act, and you’ve been ostracized for so long.” Everyone had thought poorly of Lemira, blaming her for bullying Evelina.

Braving the rain, Alaric walked in. Seeing Evelina on the bed, he frowned at Lemira, “Eve’s sick and just needs a phone call. Is that so hard? You can have your grievances against us, but Eve owes you nothing p>
He had overheard Lemira’s refusal, so cold and distant.

share her umbrella with Evelina this morning, making her catch a cold!” Alaric was indignant, “Lemira, I know your grades have improved, but that doesn’t give you the right to let Eve get sick. You knew her poor health conditions, how could you just turn her away p>
